The "KDE User Guide" is obsolete and incomplete. It references KDE3 apps, such as kicker, and fails to mention critically important new features such as plasma, nepomuk and the like. There's even images from KDE3.

The user guide is still shipping with betas of 4.4.  It really just needs to be removed.

We would like to wait a little on this one, if we can get some work done in time then we update the guide otherwise we would just remove it :)
