Description Armin Berres 2008-12-15 10:13:15 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

With a newly started kwin activating compositing works more or less fine.
Once I deactivate compositing and try to reactivate it again, it fails with "Couldn't find framebuffer configuration for default depth!"
To make compositing usable again I have to restart kwin.

you can use the shortcut alt+shift+f12 to temporarily suspend compositing. That's a better choice than deactivating compositing completely. Same shortcut can be used to resume compositing.

Might be related to bug 175454.

Exactly the same happens when reactivating compositing.

I am sorry, I am not using the fglrx driver anymore and compositing with the free driver does not work yet.
Feel free to close the bug, if you cannot reproduce it and no one else complained.
