Anders, Apply want mean "Apply metadata changes to files"... Save is more delicate to use. It's generally used to mean save full image and it can be misunderstand. Don't forget that here, we touch only metadata of files and never image data. Also, if digiKam is set to not touch metadata of file and only changes caption and tags to digiKam database, "save" is fully unadapted. For me the text button "Apply" is fine... Marcel, Andi, Mik ? Gilles Caulier +1 for Apply "Apply" for me too. I see some valid points in the bug report, but more valid points in Gilles' response. The only thing to convince me would be input from UI guidelines / usability guidelines. To discut with Arnd on IRC, "Apply" sound like the better way for the moment. I close this file as "work for me" Gilles |
