Version:            (using Devel)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Compiled sources

When you try to start a chat via bonjour, with someone who isn't accepting connections (ex, they are VPNed out or have a firewall up), bonjour blocks and waits for about 10s, making kopete hang for that time.

Accepting this bug and assigning this to me (PS: yes, I also reported it).

It is due to the synchronous
* socket->waitForConnected()

on line 78 of bonjourcontactconnection.cpp.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
