Description Marek Laane 2008-12-07 18:39:07 UTC
Version:           KDE 4.1.81 (KDE 4.1.81 (KDE 4.2 >= 20081128)) (using Devel)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Compiled sources

If you'll scroll message text in message view, the message header in message list window will loose it's highlighting. Though, it will stay selected but it's very inconvenient if you couldn't see what message is highlighted (you have to click on it or at least on the message list window scrollbar again), if you e.g. after scrolling down the message decide to delete it. I'd rather would see message still highlighted in message list window - or loose highlighting only when you explicitly do something inside the message itself (e.g. copy some text) but not when you just scroll longer messages.

I can't reproduce that with kmail r890719. The message header never loses highlighting. How recent is your build? Can you try with a newer one?

Well, that's most recent Mandriva Cooker has. I'd rather won't compile it itself.
I tried with other styles besides Oxygen and it seems, message header really doesnt' loose highlighting as such but it will faint so much you have real trouble to notice it (only exception seems to be Mandriva's IaOra style which has highlighted items quite clearly bulged but even then they have no color highlight).

KMail with IaOra, scrolling text in message window - message header is quite clearly visible.

Same as previous picture - but highlighting is rather unvisible.

That seems to be a problem with your color scheme. Afaik Qt allows to have different colours for when a list item is selected and has focus and when it is selected but doesn't have focus. Can you try this with the default oxygen colour scheme?

Yes, you're right, my bad, I just dodn't thought about color scheme.
