The Dolphin cannot open the Shortcut files of Windows. The Dolphin can open executable files but the link files ( *.lnk ) cannot be open. If you try to open these files the Dolphin launch the "Open With..." dialog.

Please Remember the Dolphin version is for Windows! Not for Linux!

And is there a difference? Both version could open .lnk files. Reassing the duplicate.
