Version: (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Just an idea I came up with (don't know if it has already been suggested, couldn't find it). If you find it useless, please say so (and why) in the comments...

Certain rss feeds gets bloated by some persons, though you'd often like to read the other entries in the feed. In my case the example is a feed in my company where everyone can put up ads for selling/buying stuff. Some people are spamming this list with 10-20 entries at the time (from one person selling for people outside the company). Now, if Akregator had a nice feature to block authors for a given rss feed, it would make this feed about 5 times more useful for me according to my calculations.

In general I think there are many situations where you are only interested in a few authors on a feed, or that there are a few authors you consider to be uninteresting people for some strange reason.

This is a 13 year old feature suggestion, feel free to close as "wontfix" or similar.

I think the more general idea of mine was to add filtering to the subscription itself (so ignore entries based on metadata). From a quick check on the most recent version of Akregator, that does not seem to exist.
