Sentry Crash Report:

Description Silver Salonen 2008-11-28 09:48:02 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.1.3)
OS:                FreeBSD
Installed from:    FreeBSD Ports

I've installed Kopete 0.60.81 onto KDE 4.1.3. There should be some new implementation of MSN, but I still can't connect to MSN. I see this error in Konsole:

QIODevice::write: ReadOnly device
kopete(8146)/kopete (msn) MSNSocket::slotSocketError: Error:  17  ( "remote host closed connection" )
QObject: Do not delete object, 'unnamed', during its event handler!

You should try 4.2beta1: I'm not sure that 4.1.3 use the new MSN code/lib.

As I said I installed Kopete 0.60.81 (from kdenetwork-4.1.80 aka 4.2beta1) onto KDE 4.1.3, so it is 4.2beta1.

you're still using the old msn code though according to the output you pasted. The account will not migrate automatically yet. You'll have to remove the old MSN account and add a new WLM account.

I did remove the old MSN account and added a new one (Windows Live Messenger compatible). This new MSN code comes from Kopete package, right? So there can't be anything like new Kopete using some old (4.1.3) library instead of the new one?

OK, sorry.. it seems my install was not alright.. Kopete in KDE 4.2beta2 is working indeed.
