Description Malte S. Stretz 2008-11-25 12:27:52 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27-7-generic

Currently accessing an FTP server with a limited number of connections per host is annoying (or broken) because it can happen that you're able to browse the server but then downloading is refused because KDE tries to open yet another connection. According to bug 64930 this should be fixed but isn't.

A typical error message is: "530 Sorry, the maximum number of clients (2) from your host are already connected."

Until bug 28361 is fixed, could there please be an option added to the KCM (where you can enable PASV etc. already) to limit the number of concurrent connections to a single server?

I've encountered this problem too.
