this is consistent behaviour and very annoying. please indicate which file to edit.... (i like kpim and would like to continue using it). thank you! perhaps you need to set your default web browser preference. run 'systemsettings' look in the Personal -> Default Applications area In there you can set your favorite web browser, email client, etc. i have checked and rechecked my settings in system->preferences->preferred applications. they are set to firefox for the webbrowser and kmail. it seems that either - the settings are not written out to a file - kmail is not reading the file that gnome is writting (which file should it be for gnome? which file is kmail reading to see what my preferences are). but in anycase - opening a url in a mail should not result in a call to mozilla/thunderbird but to firefox. where is this string stored so i can change it with an editor? thank you for your help! andrew Can you still reproduce this bug with a recent KDE (4.1.4 / 4.2beta2 / 4.2rc1 / 4.2svn / 4.3svn) ? Do you have some gnome process running while you are using Kontact (or are you using Kontact inside GNOME?) Thanks :) |
