I have seen this kind of crash too, but for me it only happens with jabber protocol. If I only use my wlm account, I can go on/offline without any trouble. I notices the "CROSS YOUR FINGERS! THIS IS GONNA BE WILD" in the source code. Maybe this is a known crash? Same here. And yes that seems to happen only if jabber/gtalk is used. This seems to be related/duplicate to bug 176821 (same backtrace, same description) Marking as duplicate of bug 176821. If you think this is not a duplicate you can re-open the report.
