Sentry Crash Report:

Description Dan Reidy 2008-11-20 03:55:44 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.1.3)
Compiler:          x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc-4.2.4 / x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-g++-4.2.4
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Gentoo Packages

Plasma (plasma-workspace) crashes when ANY applet, icon, kicker, or the cashew is clicked.

I have gone so far as to create a "new user", and even that crashes, I also reinstalled all my kde packages in case something was broken. Neither solution solved this.

Application: Plasma Workspace (plasma), signal SIGFPE

the backtrace is incomplete, please follow the instructions here:

http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports

and post a complete one so that we may work this problem out.

it's likely related either to your installation (e.g. a binary incompatible module) or a patch applied to the gentoo packages. either way, a full backtrace will allow us to figure out what the issue reall is.

no reply from reporter, no one else is reporting this and it would be pretty evident to people if this was happening to them ;)
