after the crash described in #175597 digikam always starts in fullscreen mode, even if i quit it in normal mode

No idea about that. Try to start with an empty config. (move away your digikamrc file in ~.kde4/share/config/, look if there are some sort if backup files of this or whatever)

ok, a clean config seems to fix this.
