Still existing for: KNode Version 0.99.01 Unter KDE 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0) Mandriva cooker packages: libknodecommon4-4.2.0-2mdv2009.1 knode-4.2.0-2mdv2009.1 Cannot drag/drop any message from a newsgroup to a local folder in KNode. I have the same problem with OpenSUSE 11.1, KDE4.2.2 (Factory). As well as drag-and-drop being unavailable, there appears to be no other method of copying from the massage-list pane to the local folders. In KDE 3.5, it seems there was only drag-and-drop available - no menu function. As automatic copying on send is also unavailable - I'm about to submit a separate report on this - the local folders are useless as there is no way to put a message in them. The problem still exists with KDE 4.3.4 and 4.4 RC1. Presumably it's still "unconfirmed" because no-one has looked at it yet. I realize developers are busy but this would only take a few minutes. Bug still there in KNode 4.4.11, KDE 4.6.4, Debian GNU/Linux 6.0.2 base: Dragging a posting outside of the threads pane does not work in the first place, and there is no Edit/Paste menu item for the "Lokale Ordner/Archiv" folder (German version here). You can save a message as a single file to the filesystem, but that is not very convenient. Please restore the Archive feature. *** Bug 283437 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Bug still exists in KNode 4.3.5, KDE 4.3.4, CentOS Linux release 6.0, Kernel 2.6.32-71.29.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP. Bug still exists in KNode 4.4.10, KDE 4.6.5, Kubuntu 11.04, Kernel 2.6.38-8-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP x86_64. Still there in 4.7.4. Over three years since first reported and nobody from KDE support has had the decency in all that time to acknowledge this complaint let alone do anything about it. Seems the yearly wakeup call is overdue - I just upgraded to knode 4.9.5, and guess what - still nothing changed. "HELLO MCFLY, ANYBODY HOME?" KDEPIM developers are busy with KMail. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug. |
