KNewStuff, when used to download new desktop wallpapers in KDE 3.5, can in theory be configured via ~/.kde/share/config/kdesktoprc. But whenever I change the ProvidersUrl value there, the next time I restart KDE and access the "Download New Wallpapers" it again accesses the kde-look URL.
In fact, the ProvidersUrl value in kdesktoprc is overwritten. That shoudl not happen!

Instead, the configuration should be respected and not changed back to a default.

As a side note, if I force the new url via kiosk the configuration is respected.

Due to KDE 4 this bug is no longer relevant for me and I can no longer verify if it still occurs.
