Version:            (using KDE 4.1.1)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open File Chooser (save dialog) and select Show Hidden Files
2) Close and reopen
3) Deselect Show Hidden Files mark

Results:
The hidden files are still shown until the user changes directory.

Here using:

Qt: 4.4.3 + qt-copy-patches-889120
KDE: 4.1.86 (KDE 4.1.86 (KDE 4.2 >= 20081221))
kdelibs svn rev. 903705 / kdebase svn rev. 903706
on ArchLinux x86_64 - Kernel 2.6.27.10

I can't reproduce because the "Hidden Files" setting isn't maitained after you close the dialog, so I can't get to step 3.
(BTW the file dialogs were heavyly reworked for KDE4.2)

I confirm that the bug is no more reproducible becase the setting is not saved when the dialog is closed.

This bug is no more valid.
