Version: 0.12.7 (using 3.5.10, Kubuntu (hardy) 4:3.5.10-0ubuntu1~hardy1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-20-generic

I do not know if this is really possible, but I would like to see a protocol independent group chat functionality. Kopete would then act as a host/server of a group chat and would relay the messages from different participants to each other. This would be a really cool feature. Of course this would not be perfect since messages of others would appear with the name of the host client in the messengers of others. But Kopete could always add the name of the real sender. May be there could be even a format for this established between different multiprotocol clients, so that they recognise this and display it correctly.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
