When a user logs in etc. often my machine hangs and then the task bar vanishes and re-appears a few seconds later.

This almost always happens when someone messages me and I click chat/ignore, but also happens when people go online/offline.

this has been fixed upstream in Qt and there is a patch for it in qt-copy already iirc.
