With digiKam 0.10.0-beta6 release this week end, a lots of bugs have been fixed. please try again with this version and report us more debug info if possible, for ex a suitable backtrace provides by gdb or all messages from the console...

Any feedback on this with a backtrace and beta7?
Suggest for closing otherwise, the report is old and many bugs have been fixed since then.

Without a backtrace, we cannot do anything.

Please, use gdb like it's explained here :

Gabriel:
I guess you found this report because you searched for the title, which is not specific. The original report was concerned with the application digikam.
From your information, you got this message when you installed some updates. And no, this does not destroy your computer; it's rather what you know as program crash.

The original report is inactive and old. Closing due to lack of feedback.

The moment I try to either import from camera or add from camera I get the message above. My camera is a Kodak easyshare one.FL Spot read the camera with no problems at all.
