Version: (using KDE 4.1.2)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package

When trying to set up kmail so that it uses a different sender idendity for a specific folder, this is what you have to do:
Righ-Click folder
Click "Properties"
Disable the checkbox "Use default identity"
In the now active dropdown box "Sender identity": change the identity from "Default" to some other identity.

So if I'm not missing something here, the "Use default identity" checkbox is pretty much... useless :)

I can confirm this for trunk r879666. In my opinion it's not a bug however so I'm making it a wish. For my part I actually like it better like it is.

The checkbox is useful if you have more identities. It is just unfortunate that the first identity is named "Default", which creates the confusion here.

The checkbox is needed so that when changing the default identity, the folder then gets the new default identity as identity.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2
