Hi and thanks for your bugreport. Can you reproduce the crash? If so, could you have a look at http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports, try to install the debugging packages for your distribution and post another (more verbose) backtrace for the crash? (A step-by-step instruction on how to reproduce the crash would also be helpful). If you cannot reproduce the crash, can you say what you were doing right before the crash? I think debugging packages are probably not needed for this one - I would guess you viewed "Applications" and clicked on an icon, right? If this is the case, it is a duplicate of bug 172508 which is fixed in KDE 4.1.3.
