I use Nvidia Geforce 8400 Gs and Kubuntu 8.10. After I install graphic drivers 177 or 173, Kmix crashes and write me this error:

After that I can't save manual resolution in nvidia-settings manager. It write me error: Segmentation Fault. 

Another problem is when I try eject cd or dvd. It just want to eject it.

These are all completely unrelated to each other. Please read this http://techbase.kde.org/Contribute/Bugsquad/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports and provide us with a useful backtrace for kmix. You need the debugging symbols for solid (at least) as far as I can see from this backtrace that you posted. For the other problems (nvidia-settings and eject), please ask elsewhere, in forums, irc or whatever and/or file bug at ubuntu.
