Description Victor Porton 2008-10-30 19:56:15 UTC
Version: 3.1.2 (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: NetBSD
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

Files are opened with single click but directories with double. This is illogical. It would be logical if files would be opened with double click and directories with single.

It is because opening directory is a more lightweight (for the user) operation than opening a directory. Opening file is a hard and in a sense irreversible operation, while opening a directory can be reversed pressing Back button.

Either make the reverse of the current state that is open directories with single click and files with double, or make all single-click or all double click, but not leave this as is.

Bug has been reassigned to kdelibs, therefore assuming that the report refers to the file selector.

Later bug has better description.
