Description Kenneth Gonsalves 2008-10-30 10:39:57 UTC
Version: 1.9.9 (using KDE 3.5.9)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

when there is more than one email account, each account may have a different password. This works for incoming mail. For smtp sending of mail, kmail requires the same password for all the accounts. If two accounts are created, the password for the second account overrides that of the first one and all mail sent from the first account will report an authentication error.

The issue is probably different since I never encountered this issue with kmail and a few smtp accounts.

Doesn't Mandriva provide kmail 1.10.xx ?

Hi Kenneth. Thanks for reporting this bug. Unfortunately we can't reproduce it here. If you can reproduce it with a more recent version of KMail, please reopen the report and let us know, but otherwise it seems it is fixed in current versions of KMail.
