Description Michael Leupold 2008-10-26 16:16:40 UTC
Version:           2.0 beta-2 (using 4.1.71 (KDE 4.1.71 (KDE 4.2 >= 20081023)), compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.25.7quechua-0.1intelquechua-0.1intel

KWord seems to currently miss a means to save templates (like eg. KSpread does). I guess there used to be a "Save as Template" item in the file menu, but it's gone.

This feature is very necessary since the template must be saved to the correct location so that it will appear as an option in the start up dialog that demands that you choose something to open.

Thank you for your bug report or feature suggestion.

The "KOffice" application suite is no longer maintained, and all tickets are now closed.

We recommend to switch to the "Calligra" application suite, which has replacements for all unmaintained KOffice applications:

- KWord was replaced with Calligra Words
- KPlato was replaced with Calligra Plan

For more information, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calligra_Suite
