Version:           4.1.2 (using KDE 4.1.2)
Compiler:          gcc 4.3.2 
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Unlisted Binary Package

When there are some java based application open and the application has the keyboard cursor focus, then the widgets on desktop start to flicker and appear in akward colors on redraw requests (when howered over with mouse).

Tested with eclipse 4.3.1 and open office 3.0
