applet "tasks" does not change its layout on vertical panels.
It looks better with icon on top and text below.

Patch to change vertical layout

Narrow vertical panel: much better.
"sane" width vertical panel: better.
large/huge vertical panel: some wasted space, maybe...

Applet "tasks" refactored: becomes even worse in vertical layouts.
New patch attached.
