Sentry Crash Report:

Description Rikardo 2008-10-14 14:40:42 UTC
Version: 1.3 (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I am using lastes KDE 4.x from openSUSE unstable repository, so I assume this are 4.2 to be builds.

when adding XMLRPC source to Kontact (version 1.3) program puts up authentication dialog, but authentication fails no matter what I enter. I am 100% sure I am
putting in the right username and password, I also use non default domain, could that be the problem (I put in the domain in resource conf. dialog also).

I have enabled XMLRPC on my eGroupware installation.

KOrganizer is version 4.1rc1

Same Problem ! I works mostly when first time logging in into xmlrpc resource. but if you change some things within the xmlrpc resource, the authentication fails with some blowfish looking credentials. the egroupware server banns the ip while kontact is making a lot of connection tries. after getting whitelistet on egroupware server again you can login into the resource but if you change more than one or two details in contact e.g. the login disappears again.

kde latest svn 64bit from today
egroupware server 1.6

Greets

The current recommendation from EGroupware is to use GroupDAV. It's the only
actively developed access method to EGroupware supported by KDE!

If that is the case, why does the groupware wizard insist on using xmlrpc and not groupdav to link to egroupware?
Anyway groupdav seems not to work either, when I set it up and click on the 'update folder list' button nothing happens and no calender items or address book entries get synchronised.
This is using either http or https with servername/egroupware/groupdav.php or servername/egroupware/group/groupdav.php where group is a group the user has access rights to in egroupware.
Groupdav is activated for both the user and group in egroupware

If anyone has any ideas as to whether I am doing something wrong in egroupware or in kontact I will be more than please to be proven to be a idiot!
Using Kontact 4.3.1 on kubuntu9.04 but I also tried this on kontact1.2.9 on kubuntu8.04 with the same results

Have the same problem on Kubuntu 10.04 with KDE 4.4.
eGroupware is disappeared al together from the groupware wizard and when manualy adding a resource.

Groupdav does not work on any resource type (addressbook, calendar or notes)

DAV should work now. Please test
