Version:            (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Unlisted Binary Package

Using xorg-server 1.5 with ati drivers 6.9 on an ati radeon 9200 card, kwin composite with opengl doesn't paint the desktop properly.

And you haven't, by chance, explicitly switched the drawing method to shared memory in advanced compositing settings?
