I'd like to be able to switch off the "Korganizer Reminder Daemon" Tray Icon in Korganizer and in Kontact ... not to have to close 2 programs when I have to exit from Korganizer/Kontact

excuse me: I mean that I'd like to configure it non to start with Korganizer/Kontact

it is configurable.

Go into KOrganizer's settings.

In the General page, there's a System Tray tab where you can configure this.
