Thanks for the bug report. The visible parts of the backtrace look like the one of bug 168432 and a few others that we actually thought were duplicates of a bug fixed some time ago, but because you get it in 4.1.2, this crash seems to have a different cause. So far I'm unable to reproduce this on 4.1.2 on Kubuntu and trunk. It would be really helpful if you could provide more detailed information on how to reproduce this, e.g., -is the crash always reproducible for you by switching from 'columns' to 'details'? -does it happen in any folder? -do you need to have previews enabled? -did you split the view (i.e., view two directories at the same time) before Dolphin crashed? It might also help to have a more detailed backtrace, see http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Thanks for your help! After more testing I have been able to reproduce it only on NTFS volume. Or it may be another bug. But the backtrace looks the same: Application: Dolphin (dolphin), signal SIGABRT (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] [New Thread 0xb5fb8720 (LWP 7532)] (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) (no debugging symbols found) [KCrash handler] #6 0xb7fd1410 in __kernel_vsyscall () #7 0xb6812085 in raise () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 #8 0xb6813a01 in abort () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 #9 0xb7618367 in qt_message_output () from /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4 #10 0xb7618458 in qFatal () from /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4 #11 0xb7618505 in qt_assert () from /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4 #12 0xb7df18a5 in ?? So it doesn't happen only when changing views. I haven't been able to reproduce it reliably. Sorry I wasn't more helpful. Thanks! Someone who commented on the other bug found a way to reproduce it reliably. I'm pretty sure it's a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 168478 *** |
