The crash happens only when ken-burns effect is enabled, all the other effects including opengl works. ok, I did some debug and it definitely seems to crash here: Thread 1 (Thread -1259399488 (LWP 12018)): [KCrash Handler] #6 0xb53e2ec7 in XRRConfigCurrentRate () from /usr/lib/libXrandr.so.2 #7 0xae887f4e in SlideShowKB (this=0x8e20e30, fileList=@0xbff0e3c0, commentsList=@0xbff0e3bc, sharedData=0x8abf5a8) at /home/kde-devel/kdesvn/extragear/graphics/kipi-plugins/slideshow/slideshowkb.cpp:200 the line being: frameRate = m_screen->suggestFrameRate() * 2; It seems 'm_screen->SuggestFrameRate()' is not working: I added this debug a few line above the usage of m_screen->SuggestFrameRate() m_screen = new ScreenProperties(this); qDebug("------------------------------------------"); qDebug("Screen properties"); qDebug("---%d---",m_screen->suggestFrameRate()); and this is the output I get: ------------------------------------------ Screen properties X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3 Extension: 159 (RANDR) Minor opcode: 5 (RRGetScreenInfo) Resource id: 0x18 KCrash: crashing... crashRecursionCounter = 2 KCrash: Application Name = digikam path = <unknown> pid = 13854 I am using the nvidia-binary driver with twinview enabled. hth drilled down a bit more in screenproperties.cpp line 52 unsigned ScreenProperties::suggestFrameRate() { // use XRandR only in X11 #ifndef Q_WS_X11 return 25; #else /* some code here is dying */ although I have tried return 25; in the #else section, seems to fix the problem, but I am sure its a lame fix? Valerio, Are you see comment #3 ? SlashDevDsp, Are you tried with last digiKam 0.10.0-beta6 and kipi-plugins 0.2.0-beta4 ? Gilles Caulier Currently I cannot compile latest svn digikam with kipi plugins. Can you clean up all using "make clean" before to compile (just to be sure) Gilles Caulier I am using the latest trunk for qt-copy, kde and extragear. I had built it from a clean state (clean/configure/make). I will try a clean build again tonight and report back. cleaned everything and reconfigure and recompiled qt-copy/kdelibs/kdebase etc. updated about 10 hours ago, qt-copy svn: 889120, kdebase: 894691, kdelibs: 894713 and digikam: 895074 and I am still having the same compile problem with digikam, same compile error messages as my comment #5 is this still valid ? Please try with with last kipi-plugins 0.4.0... Gilles Caulier I patched a lot of stuff here. SlashDevDsp, could you please test with latest KIPI from SVN or kipi-plugins-0.5.0, which will be released this weekend? Bug 201719 seems to be the same bug but with kipiplugins 0.5.0. Can you check them ?. Thanks Yes I would say this is the same bug, the backtrace looks identical. I will mark it as a duplicate. *** Bug 201719 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Kipi-plugins 1.0.0 is out since few days... http://www.digikam.org/drupal/node/492 Please try with this version. Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier digiKam and Kipi-plugins 1.2.0 are out. Please check if crash is still valid there. Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier We need feedback using kipi-plugins 1.4.0 Gilles Caulier New Kipiplugins 4.11.0 is available : https://www.digikam.org/node/740 Can you reproduce the problem with this release ? Gilles Caulier Works for me. |
