Severity: wishlist
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 20000220 (Debian GNU/Linux)

(Originally submitted to the Debian BTS by Nick Smith <nick@climbers.net> as
Bug#76875)

I love the cookie accept/reject system in konqueror. How about something vaguely similar
to allow blocking images from a list of URL substrings eg .linkexchange.com/

You'd need some easy mechanism for adding annoying ads to the list. eg
right click over an image - new menu entry "Add image to blacklist" and then a text box
with the URL to add with some pre-processing of the URL. eg to remove script
arguments or perhaps everything except the domain.

Cheers

use a proxy like junkbuster.
Comment 2 Aaron Williams 2002-12-03 02:54:21 UTC
Internet Junkbuster is not a viable long-term solution. Currently it looks
like no more development is taking place with it. IJB does not support HTTP
1.1 or pipelining and causes strange behavior to occur. It would be very nice
to be able to integrate Junkbuster-like filtering functionality to konqueror,
or better yet, the http kioslave.
