Description S. Burmeister 2008-10-03 14:17:14 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.1.1)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

If you open the folder-dialogue, i.e. the one where the user can pick a folder but does not get any filelist (e.g. kmail->save all attachments), it is not possible to add a folder to the speedbar shown on the left (it might be called "places" now).

Expected behaviour: dragging a folder to the speedbar creates a shortcut.

This is still reproducible using:

Qt: 4.4.3
KDE: 4.1.86 (KDE 4.1.86 (KDE 4.2 >= 20081221))
kdelibs svn rev. 901348 / kdebase svn rev. 901348
on ArchLinux x86_64 - Kernel 2.6.27.10

Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have implemented this wish.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
