Description Pavel Mendl 2008-10-03 12:05:03 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

I would like to see my own actually set status (at least global status) at a glance on system tray icon. Most preferable is direct change of icon, e.g. small status icon appeared in the centre of the stylised screen in the default kopete icon.

EDIT: severity reduced now, as checking my wish I found out that seeing the status by hovering the icon is already implemented - however the more "in a glance" look (like e.g. ICQ allows) would be well appreciated.

Maybe this could be joined with some other wishes and allow for automatic changing (selection) of custom icons for tray based on the user-preconfigured combination of individual protocol statuses (with wildcard/one of the list option in protocol statuses).

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
