Sentry Crash Report:

Description linucks 2008-10-02 01:19:36 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Whilst trying to login to my gmail account using kopete, I first see the message:

The identity and the certificate of server gmail.com could not be validated for account XXXXXXXXX:
The certificate is invalid.
The Certificate Authority is invalid.
Do you want to continue?

If I click yes to continue, I see the message:

There was an error authenticating with the server: Login failed with unknown reason.

This is with kopete 0.60.1 and KDE 4.1.1 on Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy) on an eee pc.

I had the same problem with kde 4.3.5.9 and upgraded to KDE 4.1.1 specifically to solve this problem as I thought this had already been solved.

I also initially experienced the problem mentioned by other users with Kopete not being able to find qca-tls, which I solved by installing libqca2-plugin-ossl

Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Can confirm here - KDE-4.2.0's Kopete on Mandriva Linux Cooker. Sometimes it is working OK, though.
