Installed from:    Compiled sources

(1) File->Import->Get hot new stuff...
(2) Import a calendar that doesn't work (eg. "Feiertage Deutschland" for me). Click install.
(3) You'll only see the error dialog on closing the GHNS window.

Can you reproduce this bug on a recent KDE? (4.2.3 or KDE 4.3 beta)

Yes, still reproducible on 4.3.

in knewstuff3 the error will be shown on the dialog itself in the status area.
I hope kontact will be ported to this for KDE 4.5
