Just to add, I've never used kde3 (recent convert), so I don't know how this used to work exactly, but my use case is to be able to do "Open Terminal" on the current directory in Dolphin. Currently the only way to do this seems to be go up a directory and right click on the directory icon, which is slightly awkward IMHO. Cheers, David. just go to the link that i gave and watch the right side bar, you will the actions availables for each directory you select. opening a terminal in the directory you are is very simple, you just need to type F4. Bye Marcello > you just need to type F4
So you do! Somehow I missed that :-)
Thanks for pointing that out.
Yeah, the information panel seems empty without actions... I see no good reason to remove actions from it. Specially if this was once implemented... :-? *** Bug 178592 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I think this would be a very good idea. It wouldn't have to be anything too fancy, just show the right-click menu (excluding cut, copy, past, and properties), and the things that open sub-menus (like "open with") should instead be collapsible groups within the panel (like Windows XP does for some of its actions). I think it should be implemented as a separate panel like the original suggestion and not as a part of the information panel. Having the tasks there in Dolphin definitly makes them discoverable Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719 Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. |
