the now listening plugin does not change the status message in MSN, GOOGLE TALK, or  AIM when it is configured in the advertising mode tab as  "Show the music you are listening to in place of your status message " option is selected.
This Works for yahoo though

I can confirm this behavior.

Version: 0.60.82 (KDE 4.1.96 (KDE 4.1.96 (KDE 4.2 RC1)), Kubuntu packages)

I can confirm this. Status is not set in Kopete with listening music with the jabber protocol. I can although use without roblem the "Send media info" in a chat window (aka /media).
Using Kubuntu 9.04 with KDE 4.2.4 and Amarok 2.1.0, but I have this problem since first KDE 4.1 releases

I am also experiencing same issue. It sets music status from Amarok only on my Yahoo account and no other( I have 3 Jabber accounts and 1 MSN and 1 Bonjour).

I had this problem with Kopete in KDE 4.2.4 from Fedora Packages and also on Kopete from KDE 4.3 which I compiled myself.

Similar for me, with Kopete 0.70.90 in KDE 4.3 from recent openSUSE 11.1 repositories. I've own only one Jabber account. I confirm this bug.
