When I drag an URL (say http://www.kde.org) from an open konqueror window by dragging the URL icon left to the URL onto the desktop, I would expect a behaviour like in KDE 3. There an icon was created which when double clicked opened this URL again in a konqueror window just as expected.

In KDE4.1 if you drag an URL to the desktop the system stops reacting to any desktop input for about 5 seconds, then an icon is created which when opened by double click simply shows the "open with" dialog asking for an application that should be used to open the link.

works as expected here, I suspect a packaging issue... or it has been fixed in trunk. =)
