Description Pascal d'Hermilly 2008-09-09 22:37:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

This will probably be a hard nut to crack.
After I added a folderview plasmoid, accessing a remote place using fish, to my desktop, KDE started stalling when starting up.
When I log in Plasma loads and suddenly the HD stops working for about 10-15 seconds. The the KWallet dialog comes up asking me for my password. Nothing else happens before I give my password or click cancel. After that all the other programs start loading.

I'm very willing to attach logfiles and other stuff you need to figure this out.

it's not really such a hard nut to crack: it's loading the url before kde is told start up is done ... we probably need to change the point at which plasma notifies ksmserver "plasma is ready"

It seems fixed now: I'm not able to reproduce the bug on trunk. It is fast like a local folder and I've got no slowdown on KDE start.
