Description Shlomi Fish 2008-09-09 15:09:31 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.10)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

When trying to read an email message in the inbox (soon to be attached), KMail freezes and becomes completely unresponsive. This message needs to be deleted manually from the maildir before KMail will be operative.

The email message that causes the freeze.

This is the email message that causes KMail to freeze when clicking on it in the inbox mailbox view.

Doesn't freeze for me with KMail 1.10.1

What kind of a resolution is that? I'm using KMail 1.9.10 Using KDE 3.5.10 and it freezes here. Hard! Please make sure this bug is fixed here before closing it. Closing it as "Works for me" is not very helpful for my problem, because I had kmail here freeze many times.

It is a bug here and I can reproduce it.

@shlomif: I can't reproduce on 1.11.2. There is not going to be any 3.5.11. Please consider upgrading to latest version.

Unfortunately, it is impractical for us to keep open older bugs until everybody has upgraded away from the bug. Developers wouldn't know what open and current bugs they should be working on. That is why we close bugs which have been fixed in the current development version, and hopefully we can give you some idea of how long you'll have to wait before getting a fix downstream in your distro.

You may be able to find a workaround in your distro's support, btw.

Thanks for your understanding.
