Do you have NVIDIA card? Hello, no, my graphics card is ATI Mobility Radeon X1600. In the meantime, I was able to do some experiments in the KDE4.1.1 environment: * The Kicker from KDE3 starts and is displayed correctly. However, all the space where the plasma panel should be, is kept free. * In the KDE4.1.1 task list, plasma seems to be running. However, killing it and re-starting it manually does not have any visible effect. * plasma can be started in KDE3.5.9, it works and it looks reasonable I hope this information helps - sorry, it is my first bug report in here. I have found the problem - updating ATI's driver has fixed it. Thanks Stef for the hint. |
