Version:           0.60.1 (using 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.1), Debian packages)
Compiler:          cc
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.26-1-amd64

I can see icons in my contact list but not the text (contact's name).
With msn protocol in any status, ofcourse I have change fonts in the kopete preferences but it's change nothing.

In groups, i can only see the contact's numbers (connected/total) but not the folders names.

My other kde applications works correctly with fonts!

can you provide a screenshot of the behavior? Also, could there perhaps be something wrong with the contact list font settings that is causing the problem?

I can confirm this behaviour for KDE 4.2.4 in debian unstable.

$ kopete --version
Qt: 4.5.1
KDE: 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4)
Kopete: 0.70.4

The bug doesn't always occur, just about every second kde startup. When I
restart kopete, everything is fine. Could it be that there is a race-condition
with akonadi? I can't remember this bug before I switched my addressbook to
akonadi...

Attached is a screenshot of the bug. As you can see, it just affects some of my
contacts.

Update: I'm fairly certain now that the kde addressbook or akonadi is to blame: The contacts showing up normally do not have an addressbook link, while the "hidden" ones all have an addressbook link.

Same problem for me as well under Kopete 0.80.2 (KDE SC 4.3.4). I joined a screenshot in attachment in the message #5.

It could also be related to akonadi because some of my contacts had entries in my addressbook, and currently my akonaki is not working.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
