I would like better Status controls.
In Winduzs,Yahoo Instant Messenger allows you to alter your apparent status on a contact by contact basis.
Meaning, you can be Invisible to some of your Yahoo contacts and be Visible to others at the same time.

The selection were:
Online
Offline
Permanently Offline

The last one remembers your choices for each contact and applies them the next time you log on, and can be changed at any time you choose.

You can set your overall status to Invisible, and select one or more contacts to be able to see your as Online, or the reverse, be overall Visible and exclude a few contacts from being able to see you.

While on the topic of Status Controls: MSN
The old MSN did not allow you to send messages while Invisible, however MSN Live does. It would be nice to also have that option.

Thank you for your time!

Yahoo client now has this feature.

Hello from the KDE Bugsquad!

Unfortunately, Yahoo has discontinued the Yahoo Messenger service, and the code has been removed from Kopete.

Thus, I am closing this bug as "UNMAINTAINED" since it will no longer be fixable, or able to operate due to Yahoo.
