Description Maciej Pilichowski 2008-09-06 22:15:43 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

do not show all configuration dialogs at the start

[ first run ]

This is wrong usability -- please start the Krusader right away, you don't know what user wants to do, so keeping him the _several_ dialogs is simply way too offensive. Maybe user is in the rush and tries to move some files.

Instead show info popup -- take a look at k3b, all information are there, yet user is not forced to configure program at the start.

Besides -- krusader is usable without configuring it, so raising the bar of knowledge just from the start simply scares users and confuses them (i.e. "I just wanted to copy files, what those dialogs are?").
