Even with "view only" set, Krdc still shares clipboard. It would be nice to disable clipboard sharing regardless of "view only". It would also be nice to set both these options before connecting.

On-demand clipboard transfers would be nice too.

This bug requests a Read-only independent of View-only... Combining both into a new "View-only" just changes the nature of the bug, it doesn't fix it.

Just an update, now running OpenSuSE 11.4 using KDE 4, KRDC 4.6.00 release 6
Still have shared buffers when in view-only mode, both ways.

FWIW that 2009 change seems to have regressed in 20.08.3 - the clipboard is back to sharing in "View Only" mode...

This was partially implemented long time ago.
The missing part is adding a "disable clipboard sharing" button, as requested in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=504224
