Description Philippe ROUBACH 2008-09-04 15:22:29 UTC
Version: 0.9.3 (using 3.5.9, compiled sources)
Compiler:          Target: i586-manbo-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.24.5-desktop-2mnb

i am a newbie with the digigital camera.

i discovered the pleasure to make short movies about less than 1 mn as well as snapshots; i call them movie snapshot or snap movie

Result: my holidays album is composed by
- still snapshots;
- movie snapshots.

it's time to extend the meaning of the word album according to include snap movies ?

it would be a good thing to have the ability
- to manage (not to edit) snap movies;
- to add same tags : who, what, where, comment, geographical coordinates(latitude,longitude,altitude), direction(where the DC looks);
- etc.

With 6.0.0, we have now a FFMpeg low level metadata parser based on libav C API
for video files database registration.

The Exiv2 video support is not used anymore as this code is buggous and nobody
sound motivated in Exiv2 to finalize the code.

The original post for this file must be fixed now and video metadata support
with ffmpeg must be enough to populate database entries.
