I can confirm the above stated but worst setting the default folder and applying the setting causes kget to crash for me. Confirmed in KDE 4.2. Checking the option to place new downloads inside a default folder has no effect and a dialog box still appears asking where the download should be saved. Please fix this bug as it spoils an otherwise flawless Kget experience! Thanks! Fixed in trunk already, now there's a checkbox to either use the default directories as suggestion or not...
