Description Jay LaCroix 2008-09-03 02:36:14 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

In KDE 4.1.1 the Kmix icon looks distorted and ugly. (See screenshot). Prior to KDE 4.1.1 this didn't happen all the time, maybe 1 out of every 3 reboots or so, but in 4.1.1 this happens every log in. You can barely even tell what the kmix icon is, it's so distorted. (Again, see screenshot).

Look at the Kmix icon in the taskbar.

Are you sure this bug is a duplicate of that bug? In the linked but the problem was a black background behind the icons or lack of transparencies. With my problem the icon is completely distorted which is different from that bug.

Yep. System tray icons having a black, white or garbage background all stem from the same cause.
